Arcanum of the Unseen

Magi studying the Arcanum of the Unseen have focused their studies on research into the hidden lore of the Fey. They prefer illusion and misdirection, and they work from the shadows. Despite their reputation for secrecy, these magi tend toward the light-hearted; they revel in the unexpected, and are often more interested in understanding the world than in controlling it.

Mask of the Fey

When you choose this arcanum at 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast disguise self at will, without expending a spell slot.

Ensnaring Mirage

Also at 3rd level, you learn to ensnare a creature in sensory illusions. When you strike a creature with your elemental weapon, you may pay 1 arcane point to force the target to make a Wisdom save or have their legs wrapped in illusions of vines or chains for 1 minute. Once wrapped, the target has their movement reduced to zero, and is unable to benefit from any increase to their movement speed. An ensnared creature may spend its action to attempt a Strength (Athletics) or Intelligence (Investigation) skill check - if the result meets or exceeds your spell DC, they either burst free of or see through your illusory bonds.

Wild Dance

At 6th level, you learn to use shifting illusions to become harder to strike in combat. As a reaction to an enemy attempting to attack you, you may expend 1 point from your arcane pool to cast blur, spending a spell-slot as normal. When you cast blur in this way, you have advantage on saves to maintain your concentration on the spell.

In addition, when you cast blur using a higher level spell slot, you gain +1 AC for each level above 2nd.

Master of Images

When you reach 11th level, you gain mastery of illusions. When you canst silent image or major image, you can cause the image to move as described as a reaction to the beginning of any other creature's turn, and if you know the minor illusion cantrip you become able to cast it as a bonus action on your turn.

Lord of Illusion

At 15th level, familiarity allows you to cast silent image at will, without expending a spell slot,

Additionally, when you cast a spell of the illusion school, you can spend 1 point from your arcane pool to cast it twice instead of once. You are able to concentrate on both at once, and you choose targets independently. Any action you take to control the resulting spell can be used to control both copies at once.
